How do I join Elsternwick Toddlers Playgroup?
We require all ETP members to first be a member of Playgroup Victoria. This ensures you and your family are covered by Playgroup Victoria insurance. You can join PGV here: https://www.playgroup.org.au/pvmembership/Family-Membership.aspx. To join PGV you will require our PGV number which is 14976. Once you receive your PGV membership number, keep this handy to add to your membership application.
To become an ETP member, simply complete the membership form and payment online at Membership and Fees and then we look forward to seeing you at playgroup!
I'm not a member, can I drop in for a visit?
If you are interested in joining the playgroup, you are welcome to contact us to arrange a visit. A committee member will be happy to show you around.
I'm an existing member, can I bring a friend along to a session?
All our members are covered under Playgroup Victoria insurance. To ensure we maintain comprehensive insurance cover, all adults and children attending the playgroup must be current members. However, if you know someone who is interested in joining, please feel free to contact us to arrange a visit.
How many times a week can I attend?
Members are welcome to attend as many playgroup sessions as they wish. Come everyday! You can drop in at any time during the opening hours and stay for as little or as long as you feel like.
Do I have to pay a fee for each child?
The annual fee is based on a family membership. So you can have one, two or more of your children included as part of your membership and you pay the same amount. Each child needs to be listed on the Membership Form when you join.
I have a toddler and a school-aged child, can I bring my older child to playgroup during school holidays?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate school-aged children. However, to ease the transition to school, children in Prep can come along on school holidays and curriculum days etc.
What else is involved with becoming a member?
As ETP is run by its members, we need everyone's support to help keep our playgroup operational and fabulous! ETP has a voluntary committee that makes sure member fees are used wisely throughout the year, but we still rely on all members getting involved. There's no formal duty roster, everyone just needs to do their bit at each session they attend.
Here are some examples of how you can help out, or you can chat with a committee member if you're unsure:
- Wash and put away some dishes
- Refill the paint pots or make playdough
- Tidy up after your child during the session
- Help clean up by vacuuming, sweeping, taking out the bins etc.
You can also help throughout the year at one of the weekend working bees.
Still have questions?
Please email us at [email protected] or submit an online enquiry via the Contact Us page and one of our friendly committee members will try and answer them for you.
